1. What are the basic objectives of Craftsman Training?

Ans – The basic objective of Craftsman Training Scheme is to equip youth with skill/set of skills through ITIs suitable for their wage/self employment. The scheme is governed under norms and standards prescribed by Government of India, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and are uniformly implemented across the Country. ITIs complying norms and standards are affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training, New Delhi. The trades are of 1 yr/2 semester or 2 years/4 semester duration. On successful completion of prescribed duration of training and achieving desired level of skill competency, the trainees appear All India Trade Test and awarded National Trade Certificates.
